Located in the Sawai Madhopur district of south-eastern Rajasthan, and about 130 km from Jaipur, the Ranthambore National Park is spread out over an area of 392 sq. km. Although Ranthambore is famous for spotting the majestic tiger and other exotic wildlife, it is also a famous heritage site because of the pictorial ruins that dot the park. Not only is this the biggest national park in Northern India, it is surrounded by other sanctuaries like the Mansingh Sanctuary & Kaila Devi Sanctuary. It's no wonder then, that people who love wildlife, nature, heritage and intriguing stories throng to Ranthambore.
